Josephine at 5 weeks

Meet Josephine. She's actually a bit older, now, but somehow the blog wasn't updated with her portraits last November. I love how newborns eat their fists.Isn't that little bonnet adorable?

Tae Kwon Do kid

Here is our favorite Tae Kwon Do child model. We used a few backdrops to see which one we liked best for when we do more of these where he takes his lessons. The first one is a little "edgier" than most of our others.
Just looking at that kick makes me say "ouch!" He sure can kick high. Here's a different blue backdrop -- the one we'll probably end up using.
And here's a solid gray background. I like the simplicity of this one.

Photo Booth Event Portraits

Our event printer has been getting a workout lately.

We volunteer at our kid's middle school for their canteens (get-together, social gathering, dance) with a photo booth. The kids get together with a group of friends (or just a couple) have their photo taken. There are hats, glasses, scarves, and other crazy things they can wear if they want to.

The last one we did was really crazy. We ended up printing 278 prints in just under 2 hours! That includes arranging the people, taking the photos, picking the best one, and then sending them to the printer. That's definitely the most we've ever done in that amount of time.

Then, a week later, we photographed a Father/Daughter dance for the Creature Canyon Council (formerly knows as Indian Princesses). That time we had all the photos printed and put into frames by the time the girls and dads were leaving. We didn't print as many, but we also spent a little more time on each one. We had two stations going to get everyone's photo taken within a half-hour of the dance starting.

Sorry, no pictures this time -- we don't have releases for them.

Aiden at 6 Months

Here's Aiden at six months old. He's sitting up all on his own and is enjoying life.This next one is really cute.
The ever-popular naked-baby portrait.

He's crawling now so watch out!

Valarie at 1 Year

Valarie came in for her one-year portraits a little while ago and it's amazing to see how much she's grown over the past year.She was walking all around and never in one place for very long.She was happy to play with some toys.

Griffin at 9 Months

Griffin was here earlier this week for his nine-month portraits.Mom and dad made a slight appearance.We brought out the teacup this time. It's been a little while.And bath time is always fun.Be sure to see the slideshow for more.

Holden at 3 Months

Holden was here earlier this week for his three-month portraits and he is such a cutie.He's lifting up his head so high and I love his big grin.
This next image makes me smile.
And, of course, Carson need some by himself, too. He's growing up to have a great sense of humor.

Missy and Tom's Engagement Portraits

We had the pleasure of meeting up with Missy and Tom for their engagement portraits a few weeks ago. What a beautiful day we had at Highbanks Metro Park.They were fun and so happy to be together.
The "jumping" picture was a hit.
We ended the session on the swings.

People, Dogs, and a Bird

I'm catching up on these blog posts. This session happened back in October, when the leaves on the trees were bright yellow and orange.It was a fun session -- the dogs and bird kept escaping (luckily not very far each time).

Ivy at One Year

Ivy was here for her final Baby portrait a few weeks ago. It's always fun to see how much (and how fast) babies grow their first year.She brought one of her bears so we needed to have a tea party.
I love how she and the bear are both in the same position.
Her sister Ruby came along, too.
